Project Description
Ensuite Bathroom in Period Property
At ogl, we often get asked to design and install interior lighting to special or intimate areas of a client’s home. In this case, three small box rooms were being knocked into one to form an ensuite bathroom for the Master Bedroom and the clients wanted the ability to be able to create different lighting effects for different uses.
Intimate lighting for a quiet bath in the evening, harsher pure light for make-up, individual lighting for shaving and minimal, discrete convenience lighting.
As well as recommending specific light fittings and working out dimmable switching for the multiple circuits, ogl electricians also wired the ensuite bathroom for underfloor heating, a towel rail, heated mirrors (to avoid steaming up), a magnifying mirror with a built-in light for shaving, narrow angle directional spotlights to accent the bespoke brass bathtub, a silent extractor fan for the shower and an airing cupboard.
An intimate and welcoming modern addition to an interesting period property.
